Why The Icon Collection is back 🏆

We saw exceptional investor demand in the first tranche of The Icon Collection, but that’s not the only reason that we have opened allocations for a second round of investment.

The Icon Collection is the perfect use case for a WineFi syndicate.

The permitted investment (the five most expensive producers from the seven core wine regions) make up the great and the good of the fine wine world, but by definition are the hardest, and most expensive to access.

To use a live example - we recently acquired a 3×75cl original wooden case of 2015 Domaine Leroy, Les Charmes for the first tranche of The Icon Collection.

Back-vintages of this wine (2014, 2013, 2006, and 1999) have returned 18+% CAGR over the past 5 years.

Although our investors purchased at 23% below the current Liv-ex market value, the purchase price of this case is £10,000 - a significant proportion of any portfolio that isn’t six figures or larger.

Syndication removes the need for a single investor to take on the full exposure of a £10,000 case of DRC or Leroy. Instead, investors gain access to a diversified basket of top-tier wines with materially lower individual outlay.

We believe that The Icon Collection is a uniquely positioned opportunity for investors to take advantage of the syndicate structure, and access elite-tier wines at a fraction of the cost.
