Champagne Stars Collection

Our first £50,000 collection with Splint went live last week, and has already sold out 32%. This allows you to invest in a collection of top champagnes from €50, including Krug, Salon, and some excellent vintage Dom Perignon amongst others.

In Splint’s words “your net profit could be 10.6% a year”. Not bad…

What’s happening in the wine investing world?

Bordeaux dominates the market

Trade figures last week show Burgundy increasing market share to 42%. One of the top performers was Emmanuel Rouget, particularly the 2008, 2007 and 2003 vintages for Rouget’s Vosne-Romanee Premier Cru, Cros Parantoux.

Other highly traded wines included Domaine Armand Rousseau, Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru 1999 and Domaine du Comte Liger Belair, La Romanee Grand Cru 2009.

Champagne and Italy sacrificing trade share

Trading of Champenois and Tuscan wine gave way to allow for this increase. Champagne dropping from 14.6% to 5.7%, and Tuscany dropping from 7.8% to 5.8%.

The top traded wines in each region were Salon, Le Mesnil Grand Cru 2013 and Poggio di Sotto, Brunello di Montalcino 2019 respectively.

You can find some 2013 Salon in the Splint portfolio mentioned above!
