Producer Spotlight: Hubert Lamy

We’re excited to launch a new feature in the WineFi newsletter - our Producer Spotlight series. Each edition, we’ll take a closer look at the world’s most remarkable wine estates, exploring their history, terroir, and investment potential.
While it’s important to acknowledge the stories behind these producers, make sure you read on to the Analyst Note, where our Head of Investment Matthew Small takes an unbiased look at the investment characteristics of these producers.
We begin with none other than Hubert Lamy, one of Burgundy’s best performing producers.
In this first spotlight, we cover:
The unique history of Hubert Lamy, and the story of the Lamy family.
A deep-dive into the performance of the flagship label St Aubin En Remilly.
Key investment insights, including market liquidity and performance trends.
Analyst Note - From Matthew Small
Hubert Lamy has quickly become one of Burgundy’s standout producers, combining exceptional quality with impressive market performance. The domaine’s flagship Saint-Aubin “En Remilly” has delivered a 10-year CAGR of 19.5%, making Lamy one of the region’s best recent performers. The wines’ low regional beta (0.31) adds genuine diversification to a fine wine portfolio, and scarce market liquidity further enhances their appeal. For investors seeking both growth and balance, Hubert Lamy is a compelling choice.

Liv-ex Report Champagne Consolidation
Liv-ex’s latest analysis highlights the relative resilience of the Champagne 50. While the index has slipped below its medium-term trendline and lacks some of the technical support enjoyed by other fine wine indices, recent trade suggests a full retracement to 2020 lows is increasingly unlikely. Strong volumes and easing volatility point instead to consolidation at higher levels.
Bid:offer ratios further highlight the market’s shape. Grower Champagnes such as Egly-Ouriet and Bérèche show the strongest demand on paper, though limited trade volumes must be taken into account. Salon stands out as both scarce and actively traded – a combination that has kept prices from severe declines despite broader market softness.
Overall, the Liv-ex suggest Champagne is entering a phase of consolidation, with the Champagne 50 showing greater resilience than headline technicals imply, supported by strong trading activity in selected houses and vintages.
