[Limited Supply] Secure your Tequila Barrels

Hi investor,

Tequila Reserve is now live, giving WineFi investors the opportunity to own individual barrels of 100% Blue Weber agave tequila as they mature in Mexico.

Early demand has been strong, with a significant portion of the initial allocation already reserved. We are now making the remaining barrels available..

Each barrel holds 200 litres of tequila made from 100% Blue Weber agave, harvested and distilled in Jalisco, then laid down in first-fill barrels retired from Buffalo Trace, one of the most decorated distilleries in Kentucky.

The price of £5,240 includes all fees, insurance and storage for the full three year term. There are no additional holding costs during that period.

These offers operate on a first-come first-serve basis, 28 barrels left.

Why Tequila, Why Now

Tequila is the fastest growing spirits category globally, estimated at $12.6bn today and projected to reach $25.1bn by 2033. Mexico produced 495.8m litres last year, of which 400.3m were exported.

Growth on that scale creates a problem the category cannot solve quickly. Extra añejo requires a minimum of three years in barrel, so the aged stock available in 2029 is limited to what goes into barrel now. Maturation cannot be accelerated, and ageing periods, and barrel availability constrain how much premium tequila reaches the market.

That scarcity is what the value rests on.

The Barrel

Tequila only matures in barrel. Once bottled, the ageing process stops.

Three years in ex-bourbon oak converts a clear blanco into extra añejo, the longest aged classification tequila produces. These barrels are first fill, meaning this is the first time they have held tequila since leaving Buffalo Trace. The oak is at its most active and its influence on the spirit is strongest, which matters over a maturation as short as three years.

Cascahuín has been producing tequila in Jalisco since 1904 and remains family-owned today. Its reputation has been built on traditional production methods rather than mass-market scale, making it particularly well regarded among serious tequila drinkers and collectors.
